Description
What do machines see when they look at art? Do they have a sense of aesthetics? Do they have spatial awareness? Do they like what they see? Can they help us answer the grand question we all ask when visiting art museums: is this really art? We’ll tackle these questions and more in this richly illustrated, interactive presentation, during which we’ll provide a cursory analysis of seven AI services as applied to Harvard Art Museums’ data over a 10-year time span. The presentation will leave you with a better understanding of how AI technology is used to expand access to one of Harvard’s premiere collections.
