Description

Well-conceived, user-friendly data platforms have the potential to effectively disseminate research, ideas and fresh perspectives across a wide variety of users. In this session, you’ll hear from the Growth Lab’s Digital Development and Design team to learn how they turn the Lab’s scientific research and data into visual narratives. You’ll learn about their user-centered design methods, data acquisition processes and the software development best practices they follow to produce tools like the Atlas of Economic Complexity, used by thousands of policymakers worldwide. The team will also address common challenges in communicating research and data insights to audiences with non-technical backgrounds.
