Description

AV over IP (Audio Visual over Internet Protocol) allows for audio, video, and control signals to be transmitted, monitored, and controlled via the internet. While AVoIP is still in the early stages of adoption, it is quickly becoming mainstream across all industries and will eventually become the standard method of transmission for all audio-visual hardware and software. In an attempt to make informed decisions about AV/IT infrastructure, representatives from various Harvard schools have spent the past year investigating Harvard’s current AVoIP installations. This session will outline three exciting use-cases for this emerging technology and also provide recommendations for the future.
